Floyd’s new video for his ‘I’m Floyd’ song gets the thumbs up from the Oscars
Floyd is celebrating the big night of the Oscars, as the rapper’s new song, ‘I Am Floyd’, wins the coveted best new artist award at the 68th annual Academy Awards on Sunday night.
The song, written and performed by Floyd, is set to receive its biggest award of the night when he takes home the best song of the year award.
Floyd’s new single, which has a strong fan following on YouTube, has already been nominated for best song for its catchy chorus, which was created by his wife, the pop sensation Lady Gaga.
Lady Gaga also received the song’s first nomination, as well as her best new song award for her track ‘Vogue’.
Floyd also won the best new performer award for his song ‘Viva La Vida’, which is set for its second nomination at the Oscars after winning the award for best R&B song in 2017.
Florence and the Machine singer Michael Bublé won the other two best new artists awards.
Floure received the award as best pop vocalist, while the songwriters who scored the Oscars nominations for best new album and best rap group were also nominated.
Lady and the Chain, which also won Best Song of the Year, received two nods each for their song ‘Love Me Like You Do’.
Flowers best song, ”The Starry Night”’ is set on the theme of ‘Love, You’re the Only One’, which also received nods from the award-winning group Pink Floyd.
Flowers song, also nominated for the best rap song award, was nominated for its best new single award.
Lady Gagarin, who received the Best Actress award for playing the role of Princess Leia in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, also received a nod for her performance.
The Oscars have always been a show of affection for music, and the ceremony has always been about celebrating the creative people and the artists who work in it.
